Payroll
Generating
payroll is easy to do using Shiloh's user-friendly interface.
Shiloh™ provides employers with a simple and understandable way
of creating paychecks in house. Because of the various topics and
categories, you have the flexibility in setting up you payroll to fit you
needs.
Process Pay
Groups
Through
the Process Pay Groups, you have the ability to use the Employee Pay
Groups to generate paychecks, rapidly saving you from entering that
information manually each time. This
area gives you the flexibility to generate a large number of paychecks by
group plus the ability to review and make any last minute changes to the
hours worked.
Daily
Timesheets
You have the ability to use the Daily Timesheets form to keep track of
hours worked for employees. Specific
work codes can be assigned which allows you the ability to keep track of
different types of work done by an employee.
This Timesheet data can be used to quickly generate a paycheck.
Weekly
Timesheet
The Weekly Timesheet form can
be used to keep track of a weeks worth of time worked by employees.
Similar to the Daily Timesheets, this information can be used to
quickly generate a paycheck.
Paychecks
Generating paychecks through the Paycheck form is a simple task thanks
to the well laid out display of information.
Paychecks can be automatically generated through the Paychecks form
one at a time, or through the Process Pay Groups form, which can be used
to generate checks for a group of employees.
Once created, you have the ability to review all-important
information and make any last minute changes necessary.
Timesheet data can be pulled in for a specific employee by using
the feature buttons at the bottom of the form.
You also have the ability to immediately print a check from this
form.
Print
Paychecks
Through the Print Paychecks form you can print a range of paychecks or
a single check. You will see
various options, which gives you the ability to change information
displayed on those paychecks. You
also have the ability to access a specific paycheck report and make custom
changes to that report without leaving the Print Paychecks area.
Worker's
Compensation Codes
A special form was designed which allows you the ability to create and
use Work Codes. These codes
can be used throughout the program and allow you to categorize employee
time. The Worker’s
Compensation Codes form has a great deal of flexibility in displaying and
using the necessary information for each work code.
Payroll
Types
There
are five Payroll Types: Tax,
Earning, Dedication, Time Off and Employer Liability.
The Payroll Types form graphically displays the above types
allowing the user the ability to enter in and out of each type without
having to work from the Main Menu. An
unlimited number of types can be created and used for each area of the
program.
Tax Types
Creates the Federal Income
Tax, FICA Social Security and FICA Medicare Tax Types automatically.
You have the ability to modify these Tax Types and create whatever
additional types are necessary for your company such as State Income Tax,
SUTA, etc. All 50 states
taxes are included.
Earnings
Types
Earning Types are any and all
ways that funds are paid to employees.
You can create an unlimited number of Earning Types. In this
area you will find Hourly Pay, Vacation Pay, Sick Time, Salary Pay, Bonus,
Overtime, etc.
Deduction
Types
By using the Deduction Types
form, you can create deductions. An
unlimited number of deductions can be created.
An example would be if you wanted a deduction to be deducted from
gross or net pay, shielded from any of the tax types created, and much
more.
Time
Off Types
Unlimited Time Off Types can
be created, allow you to setup a specific number of hours that employees
will accrue and keep track of what they use.
Employer
Liability Types
Employer
Liability Types are considered all items that the company is required to
pay or contribute. Shiloh™
creates several default Employer Liability Types such as FICA SS and FICA
Medicare. Other unique liabilities
can be created to fit every company’s need.
Payroll
Groups The
five Payroll Groups are: Tax, Earning, Dedication, Time Off and Employer
Liability. This form
graphically displays the above groups allowing the user the ability to
enter in and out of each group without having to work from the Main Menu.
This form is used to setup groups or templates of existing payroll
types. Once you setup the
different payroll groups they can be used to quickly assign multiple
payroll types to an employee.
Tax Groups
The ability
to create a unique Tax Group allows the employer to quickly assign
multiple taxes to a group of employees.
Once a Tax ID and description is entered, the Tax List box allows
you to easily review and select the necessary taxes.
Earning Groups
This form is used to group several earnings
types into a template or group that can be used to quickly assign multiple
earning types to an employee. An
example could be hourly, hourly overtime, hourly sick, hourly vacation, etc.
In the employees form under the earnings tab you can choose an earning
group from the group combo box. The
employee’s earnings area would quickly fill in with all the earning types
that were setup in the earning groups form.
Deduction Groups
Creating a Deduction Group allows an
employer to assign a multiple number of deduction types to a group of
employees. Once the deduction
group is selected, it will quickly fill in with all the deductions that were
setup. You have the flexibility
to edit each individual deduction or even add new ones.
Time Off Groups
This form is used to group several time off
types into a template or group that can be used to quickly assign multiple
Time Off types to an employee. This
information quickly fills into the Time Off area in the employee form allowing
you the ability to edit the time off types, as necessary for that employee.
Employer Liability
Groups
By creating an employer liability group, you
can rapidly fill in employer liabilities to a group of employees. This saves you time and decreases the risk of data entry
error. This information can be
modified through the employees form for a specific employee.
